Vadym Kholodenko wins Diapason D'Or 2018 for Scriabin recording

Vadym Kholodenko with 2018 Diapason D'Or award

Vadym Kholodenko's latest CD release for Hamonia Mundi of solo piano works by Alexnder Scriabin has been awarded a Diapason D'Or, with the full review praising Kholodenko's "profound understanding" of these works.

This latest award follows accolades for his recordings of concertos by Grieg, Saint-Saëns and Prokofiev, with the second instalment of his Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle released next February.  The award ceremony in Paris came during a busy autumn for the 2013 Cliburn winner, alongside recitals in Tokyo, Vienna Konzerthaus, Milan, Warsaw and Wigmore Hall (2 December) whilst orchestral engagements include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Weimar and Copenhagen Philharmonic.
