Eric Lu makes his Chicago Symphony Orchestra debut in the first of three concerts with Music Director Riccardo Muti.

“Lu played with a pliant, gossamer touch, favoring watercolor strokes over geometric blueprints. Lu’s octave ornaments in the first movement Allegro resounded dazzlingly, and the melancholic ballet of the second-movement Larghetto even managed to smuggle in a whiff of Chopin into Mozart’s forward-facing concerto.”
